Pretty good for an online thing

I used Notarize for an Affidavit a few weeks ago. Honestly, I wasn't sure how it'd work out, but it was surprisingly straightforward. The whole process felt pretty smooth, and I didn't have to leave my house. That was a big plus for me. The notary was nice too.

Detailed review of my eSign experience

I used Notarize last month for an eSign service for a business document. The initial document upload was simple, just a standard PDF. Getting started with the session took about 5 minutes; I had to go through the identity verification and knowledge-based authentication, which felt thorough. The notary joined quickly, explained the steps for the Digital Signature clearly, and walked me through the signing process. The whole session, including verification, took less than 15 minutes. Afterward, I received the electronically notarized document promptly. My only minor gripe was that the video connection glitched once for a few seconds, but it recovered fast. Overall, a very professional and efficient service for online notarization.

Good value for a Will

I needed my Will Notarized and was looking for the cheapest option. Notarize fit the bill perfectly. I got a discount as a first-time user, which made the price very reasonable compared to going to a physical notary. The process itself was efficient, and I felt I got good value for my money. It saved me a trip and some cash, so I'm happy with it.

Convenient, but some ID issues

I used Notarize for a Deed Notarization. The 24/7 access was great, and it was super convenient to do from home. The notary was professional and explained everything well. However, I had a bit of trouble with the identity verification step; it took a few tries for my ID to be accepted, which was a little frustrating. Overall, it's a good service, but they could improve that part.

Always reliable service

I've used Notarize several times now for various documents, including Jurats and Acknowledgements. This last time, I needed a Certified Notary Service for a specific legal document. Just like before, the experience was consistent. The notaries are always professional and the identity verification is smooth. I appreciate that they always deliver on the 24/7 access. It's why I keep coming back instead of looking for alternatives. Never had a bad experience.

Does Notarize provide the actual notary, or do I need to find my own notary and then just use their platform for the remote part?

M Michelle Thomas 5 days ago
Nah, they provide the notary. That's the whole point, you connect with one of their certified notaries through their platform.

You don't need to find anyone yourself. They have a network of notaries ready to go.

Need to get some power of attorney docs notarized. Is Notarize legit for that kind of important paperwork, like, legally sound?

D Donna G. 1 month ago
From my experience, totally legit. They do identity verification and everything, so it holds up just like an in-person notary. Used it for my will last year.

Yeah, they're certified and follow all the state laws. Don't stress, your documents will be good.

Can I use Notarize if I'm not in the US right now? I'm overseas but need to get a document notarized for back home.

A Amanda R. 5 days ago
Hmm, I think you need to be physically located within the US to use it, or at least have a US address and ID. Not entirely sure about being abroad.

You might run into issues with the identity verification stuff if you're not in the states. Best to double-check their site for that specifically.

What kind of ID do they need? Just a driver's license, or do I need to dig up my passport and birth certificate or something?

L Linda Wright 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure it's just a valid government-issued photo ID, like your driver's license. They also do some knowledge-based questions to verify you.

Yeah, DL works. Just make sure it's current and not expired.

Thinking of using Notarize for some real estate stuff. How does it compare to something like DocuSign, are they similar or totally different services?

A Adam Sanchez 2 weeks ago
They're different. DocuSign is more for just e-signatures. Notarize is specifically for actual notarization, where a live notary verifies your identity and watches you sign. It's more official.

L Linda E. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, if you need a legal notary seal, Notarize is the one. DocuSign doesn't provide that.
